The TRICONEX safety control system is the most advanced fault-tolerant controller based on the Triple Module Redundancy (TMR) architecture. TMR is a three-way isolated, parallel-operated control system and performs extensive diagnostics in each independent control system. The system uses a three-way logical vote to provide a highly perfect, error-free, uninterrupted process operation, not because of a single point of failure caused by system failure.
The MP controller uses three independent channels, each of which is executed independently of the other two channels in parallel.
